To each is a goal to which Allah turns
him; then strive together (as in a race)
towards all that is good.
EIG invests in people and the startup ventures they own and operate that show promise in being able to provide products and services in a variety of industries. We only consider business opportunities that conform to the guidance of the Qur'an and the example of Allah's Final Messenger Muhammad, peace be upon him.
All startups must prepare and submit their business plans to the investment group for possible funding. When asked, they are required to give a presentation of their plan to investors. This presentation usually takes place online during a video conference call.
EIG strives to help all startup ventures who come to us for help, provided they meet the conformance requirement described above. In partnership with the Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought (ICIT), we offer many workshops that are designed to help them develop the skills and capabilities needed to make their ventures successful, regardless of whether their business is selected for funding.
Startups also receive free business plan preparation and presentation assistance from EIG support staff. This service improves the chances of getting the funding and helps EIG better understand how best to assist the startup in other areas.
